About Dr. Choong Shim MS., D.O.M., D.C., L.A.C.

Dr. Shim has been practicing Chinese medicine combine with Chiropractic for 12 years in Flower Mound. Dr. Shim is a Certified Texas Licensed Acupuncturist, recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Austin. He has since obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Parker College of Chiropractic. He graduated from four years of Chinese medical school. He has completed acupuncture and Herbal Medicine included a year-long internship, close to 3,000 training hours.

His extensive education background and years of training in Eastern (Chinese medicine) and Western (chiropractic) natural art of healing has enabled him to assist many difficult cases that were not treated successfully by the medical or chiropractic approach alone.

    Dr. Shim has experience in many different fields that are included but not limited to Herbal Medicine, Fire moving Cupping, Chi Gong, Tai Chi, and has certifications in Facial Rejuvenation through Acupuncture without Botox. He has had tremendous success with utilizing acupuncture for many different health conditions.
